click to enlarge   item: Super Robot Red Fighter; Bandai, 1970's.
description:At almost 15" high in robot mode, this all plastic fellow is impressive...switch him on and he is awesome. He can be assembled in numerous ways and the central motor drive spins his head, makes him walk, and turns the accessory yellow wheels and blue treads (when attached). A pre-Godaikin attempt by Bandai to establish a stronger international (USA) market for their toys. This piece (along with the companion Blue Fighter) was not hugely successful here, but was just a hint of incredible things to follow (Shogun Warriors, Godaikins, Go-Bots, etc.)

size: toy 14.5" h, 7" w, 5" d; box 10" h, 7.5" w, 4.25" d

click to enlarge   item: New Astronaut Robot; Horikawa (SH), 1970's.
description: Another nice piece from Horikawa, this is the version with plastic lenses in the chest holes. A predominately plastic robot with smooth walking action, he stops and fires his lighted guns while spinning around! Clean example with some play wear and a very displayable box.

size:9.5" h, 5.5" w, 3.75" d
condition:C-8 , C-8 box with one puncture to cover
price: sold
click to enlarge   item:"New" Sky Robot; Horikawa (SH), 1970's.
description: An all plastic robot with some crazy actions! He walks along with wheels spinning on his chest and flashing eyes...no big deal, right? Then you spread his arms, tilt his face to the sky (hence the name "SKY" robot ?) and he bugs across the floor on his chest. A fun piece in nice condition.

size:8.5" h, 5" w, 4" d
condition:C-8+, C-8 box
price: sold
click to enlarge   item: Shooting Space Walker, Horikawa (SH); late1970's.
description: A wonderful, later Horikawa robot with mutiple actions (press the control buttons on his head) and a nice combo of tin lithography, dark brown and chromed plastic, and lighted chest guns...oh, did I forget to mention the "space sound"? What a great robot...don't miss him.

size:10.25" h, 5.5" w, 4.5" d
condition:C-8+, C-8 box
price: sold
click to enlarge   item:Captain the Robot; MTU, Korea, 1970's.
description: Generally dismissed by most collectors, the KOREAN version of Captain is really quite nice and virtually identical to it's Japanese counterpart...far superior to the Taiwanese versions that were to follow.

size: toy 5.5" h, 3.5" w, 2.5" d; box 6" h, 3.5" w, 2.5" d
condition: C-7 + with wear/scratches to back, C-7 + box
price: $40.00
click to enlarge   item:Space Fighter; Horikawa (SH), 1960's.
description: Another great robot from Horikawa with amusing action...this little guy bounces up and down as he walks, stopping occasionally to open his chest and fire off a few rounds from his dual lighted guns. This example is actually very displayable but has some significant playwear, tarnish to the zinc plating and minor corrosion to the upper torso...sounds worse than it is! He functions very well and is quite energetic for his age. Battery compartment is very clean and plastic door hinge in great shape.

size: toy 9.5" h, 5" w, 4" d; box 9.75" h, 5" w, 4" d
condition: C-7 +, C-6 + box
price: sold
click to enlarge   item:Engine Robot; Horikawa (SH), 1970's.
description: This later Engine (or piston) robot is another nice "beginner" piece. He's 95% plastic, but the action is great! Turn him on and he advances quite quickly...lighted pistons clacking away and smoke puffing out of his chest. Works perfectly! There are some color irregularities to the plastic body...looks like the body parts may be from 2 different batches. Beautiful box with a noticeable price tag "scar". Don't miss him.

size: toy 10" h, 6" w, 4" d; box 10.75" h, 6.5" w, 4.5" d
condition: C-8 toy, C-9 box
price: sold
click to enlarge item:Daitarn 3 Robot; Nippon Sunrise, probably 1980's.
description: Japanese design made in Hong Kong for the Italian market...??? 90% plastic with some tin to interior workings. This big guy functions fairly well despite poor mechanical design. Interesting if you collect jumbo machinder, chogokin, or other "super robot" toys.

size:12" h, 5.5" w, 3" d
condition: C-9 robot, C-8 box
price: $95.00
click to enlarge   item:Galaxy Robot; Horikawa (SH),1970's.
description: A late plastic piece from Horikawa and an attempt to inject a little quality into the endless stream of similar HK toys of the period. This all plastic piece has great play value and works perfectly.

size: robot 9" h, 5." w, 3" d, box 10" h, 6" w, 4" d.
condition:C-9 robot (slight yellowing), C-8 box, decal sheet intact

click to enlarge item:Missile Robot; Tokyo Playthings, Ltd., 1970's.
description: A nice plastic piece from a smaller Japanese manufacturer, this wind-up Missile Robot is bright chrome
with functioning sparking action and a pair of spring-loaded, firing missiles. Absolutely beautiful box art. Wind him up and watch him go-go-go.
